Oracle’s Profit Rises, but Shares Fall

Oracle Corporation, the business software companies, 30 per cent recorded an increase in quarterly profits Wednesday, but slower growth than expected in new software licenses led to declining share after hours.

The turnover with new software by 16 percent to reach 1.6 billion dollars in the third quarter from 1.4 billion a year earlier, disappointed analysts on Wall Street. The number of 14 percent to $ 20.94 in regular trading, fell as low as $ 18.95 an hour, depending on the trade.
