Advanced Micro Devices announced that Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer, Phil Hester resigned. In a brief statement, a spokesman for AMD said Phil Hester, more opportunities, but nothing has been announced about its future plans.
“He went on to other opportunities,” said the spokesman for Hester. “He did not disclose his future plans”
In addition, AMD said that the company has in place of the Hester, and instead of his responsibility as in five other CTOs of AMD’s business units. Phil Hester, who has 52 years, worked 23 years at IBM, AMD, before joining in 2005.
Hester called following the resignation Monday, said that his sales of AMD for the last quarter to 1.5 billion United States dollars, to below $ 1.6 billion by analyst expectations . AMD announced that the reduction of 10%, meaning that nearly 1600 people.
