Sony introduces a new digital photo printer, the DPP-FP70 and DPP-FP90. The new thing about this is that it features a voice recorder (But I think there’s nothing much to get excited about this- just an opinion!). It has built in LCD that is why you can work all manners of digital effects on your photos. The printer was designed for “PC-free” use so you can print them at once. Memory stick includes SD and CF, all with up to 256MB of flash memory. LCD measures 3.6 inches and 2.5 inches for DPP-FP90 and DPP-FP70, respectively.
Your photos will print so quickly that you might not be ready for them, yet there they will be, in just 45 seconds! Feautures include print preview, superimpose for text addition, a host of color filters, and one-button printing. Isn’t it amazing?
Are you familiar with the American television series “Knight Rider”? Do you remember the intriguing talking car used by David Hasselhoff as Michael Knight?Do you imagine how cars will talk to other cars surrounding you? Research groups are developing wireless technology that will allow vehicles to communicate with each other. In this process cars collect local data from their immediate surroundings, process this information and exchange it with other cars. An intelligent computer system decides whether and when a car is to transmit a hazard warning to another vehicle.Digital wireless communication in ad-hoc networks ensures a significant leap in this technology. Ad-hoc communication networks based on wireless LAN technology provide the possibility to give a virtually unlimited range of performance and making the car itself serving not only as the sender and receiver, but also as the router. The technology enhances the benefits of dynamic navigation systems. For example the car transmits information regarding any obstacles and the like. On the navigation screen, the driver sees not only his own position, but also that of other vehicles’, following from behind and of the vehicle ahead. Ensuring a convenient and safety travel at all times.Further, the car also acts like a sensor. The car “senses” the current situation, monitoring weather conditions, traffic flow, road conditions and the car’s surroundings, whether the road is slippery, whether there is fog, whether conditions are wet, or whether there is a traffic jam and other conditions. Then, what can you say about the car in the future?
Smoking is awful and smelling a second hand smoke from someone’s lighted cigarette is so nasty! However, with the help of our technology today, this USB powered ashtray is the answer.
USB-powered ashtray sucks in smoke and blows out marginally-less smoky air. USB powered ashtray will keep your room smelling good by absorbing and filtering cigarette smoke into fresh air. The ashtray can hold up to four cigarettes simultaneously and easily fits on your desk.
This device is USB powered. Alternatively, it can run on a couple of AA batteries. Odors smoke will pass through the filter and absorb by the carbon. When it is plugged into any available USB port, a fan will begin to turn, sucking any smoke upwards and forcing it through a carbon filter.
The USB powered ash tray is modeled in the shape of a car and opens up halfway to reveal an ashtray. Tray and filter can be removed for easy cleaning. Open and close the cover to turn the device on or off. And it is available in color red, yellow, blue, green, and silver. Price is just right. It is economical.
I think this is no longer new to you! But I just wanna make an article about this game console.
Nintendo Co. Ltd. sold of its new Wii video game console in the United States more than twice the number of PlayStation 3 sold by Sony Corp. Nintendo Wii costs half as much as the latter. Many gamers lined up at retailers hours to ensure they were among the first to get!
The console was Nintendo’s smallest home unit yet, measuring 44 mm wide, 157 mm tall, and 215.4 mm deep. And it can be placed either horizontally or vertically. Wii console features wireless controller, the Wii Remote, which can be used as a handheld pointing device. The remote can detect motion and rotation in three dimensions. It allows users to control the game using physical gestures as well as traditional button presses. It also features WiiConnect24 which enables to receive messages and updates over the Internet. The console is backward compatible with all Nintendo GameCube software and GameCube peripherals.
What’s in its name? Don’t you know that it is first named as Revolution? However, revolution is not ideal because it is long, and in some countries, it maybe hard to pronounce. How Wii was created? The word Wii sounds like “we”’, which means that the console is for everyone. It can easily be remembered by people all around the world. Furthermore, “Wii” spells with two “i”s to connote a figure of players gathering together. What’s important is that Wii is short, easy to pronounce, and unique. There are ads slogan that has been posted in the US such as “Wii would like to play” and “Experience a new way to play”.
The console was awarded with the Grand Award Winner in Home Entertainment this month, December.
A new computer-based navigation system for spinal surgery has been designed. The development of computer-aided procedures over the past years has led to significant improvements in surgical interventions of the spine.
The emergence of highly sophisticated, three-dimensional intraoperative imaging systems makes spine surgery safer. This was achieved by combining intraoperative fluoroscopy-based imaging using conventional C-arm technology with freehand surgical navigation principles. Modules were developed to automate digital X-ray image registration. Utilizing these new technologies is potentially safer for the patient by minimizing risk, and limiting the need for postoperative surgical revision.
This new type of fluoroscope is now able to provide three-dimensional (3-D) CT-like images in real-time during surgery and also provides imaging data. The computer analyzes imaging data that it receives either prior to or during an operation. The imaging data is then displayed on a monitor, which the surgeon observes during surgery. The navigation computer can reconstruct and display from any and all perspectives.
What about its cost? No wonder this technology is costly!
I may not have explained to you the details but I just would like to inform all my readers about this wonderful technology.
